A NEW MODEL OF SCHOOL PRACTICE FOR FUTURE TEACHERS WITHIN THE SUBJECT"FUNDAMENTALS OF EDUCATION"

The preliminary results of the application of a new model for the staged organization of content and technologies in teacher education, developed within the framework of the experimental subject "Fundamentals of Education," which lasted four semesters (270 hours), were discussed and evaluated in this article. The material of the fourth (final) semester of the subject, as well as the activities carried out during trainings with instructors from pilot institutions, were detailed, and the outcomes were reviewed. The role of a new school practice model in the creation of future professional teachers, which was implemented in 18 schools in 11 towns and regions across Azerbaijan under the supervision of teachers from higher educational institutions who took part in the trainings, was evaluated.
