The Role of Community Advisory in The Implementation of Social Reintegration for Ex-Offender

Social Reintegration is one of the correctional efforts to overcome the overcrowding in many State Detention Centers, Prisons, and Special Development Institutions for Children throughout Indonesia. In Indonesia, the rate of repeat crimes is still very volatile. In 1994-1996, the recidivist rate reached 5.61% and increased to 6.63% in 1997-1999. In 2000 this number decreased by 5.27%, then in 2001, the decrease reached 2.84%. In 2018 it increased to reach 14%. The research focuses on Community Guidance's role in Social Reintegration and examines the extent of the factors that can hinder Social Reintervention's success. This study applies primary data collection and secondary data using qualitative research methods. With this research, we can get a real picture of Community Guidance's role, which is implemented in the implementation of Social Reintegration, so that the results can be maximized. The success of Social Reinterpretation will reduce the number of correctional recidivists in the future. This approach is expected to encourage the overcrowded prevention program's success in the State Prisons and State Houses.
