The aerial parts of Chromolaena collina contain besides known compounds a new diterpenic acid, 7β-acetoxy-trans-communic acid \(\underline{(4)}\), the unsubstituted acid also being present. The chemotaxonomical situation in this genus therefore still remaining complicated.
