Estimating the carbon footprint of citizen science biodiversity monitoring

Datasets used in the production of the paper Gillings, S. & Harris, S.J. 2022. Estimating the carbon footprint of citizen science biodiversity monitoring. People & Nature.

The dataset comprises a) the estimated round-trip distances from approximate locations of observers to survey locations for the UK Breeding Bird Survey and b) questionnaire responses concerning mode of travel used to access survey locations. Data have been anonymised and locations have been coarsened to preserve anonymity.
