Description
In this paper, a modified multifrequency resonant current controller is proposed for application in three-phase power converters. The modifications include a novel controller structure combined with a corresponding parameter tuning procedure. We outlined the novel tuning procedure together with an original anti-windup algorithm, which we used in proportional-resonant (PR) controllers based on second order generalized integrator (SOGI) and reduced order generalized integrator (ROGI) methods. We tested and verified the control structure through a set of simulations and experimental tests. When compared to a reference solution, the novel controller enables simpler parameter tuning, faster settling times, and operation with a smaller margin between the controller cutoff frequency and maximum multifrequency controller harmonic frequency.
