Description

The consequences of the Corona wave have left in the last two years 2020/2021 their mark on foreign language teaching and learning. With the corona pandemic, not only protective measures should be taken for schools and higher education, but other teaching alternatives should be found such as hybrid learning in order to keep learners up to date. One of these alternatives is the use of Podcasts in foreign language as a teaching and learning medium. In this article, the term Podcasts will be defined in relation to foreign language learning, then their potentials and possible uses as new learning media will be discussed. Finally, we give an overview of various podcasts, which can be used by our colleagues in their own courses in German.
