A number of 2-alkyl-3-aryl-derivatives of 4(3H)-quinazolinone have been synthesised. The different compounds contain one or more, mono or bifunctional mustard grouping, attached to the heterocyclic nucleus through an enzymetically hydrolyzable linkage. The newly synthesised compounds have been studied for their pharmacological action as antitumor agents.
