Complexes of Nickel(ll) and Copper(II) with p-Aectamido Benzaldehyde Thiosemicarbazone

The complex compounds of nickel(II) and copper(ll) with p-acotamido benzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone ( CH₃-CO- NH-C₆H₄ -CH = N- NH -CS-NH₂), (Abbrev- iated as p abts) of the type (ML₂)SO₄ and (ML₂) have been prepared and characterised. The structures of these complexes have been established on the basis of their elemental analysis, ir uv and magnetic moment values. The nickel(ll)·complexes were found to be diamagnetic and square planar. The copper(ll)-complexes were found to be paramagnetic and their structures contributed more towards the planar ones.
