Responding to 'Are you what you eat?', the Essential Experiences in Science investigation card explores what happens to food after we swallow it by observing how mashed up cereal moves through the leg of some tights! On the reverse of the card another question asks - 'Why is food important to humans?', a question we can’t answer with science alone – we will need science AND religion, AND other ways of knowing!
