Synthesis of heteroanalogues substituted at the position 2 of 4H-1-benzooyran-4- one viz., 244-(3,5-ditnethy1-1(H)-pyrazole)phenyll, 7-hydroxy-2-[4-(3, 5.dimethy1-1(H)- pyrazole)phenyll and 5,7-dihydroxy-2-[4-(3,5-dimethyl-1(H)-pyrazole)phenyl]-4H-1- benzo(b)pyran-4-ones have been described.
