Some Aspects of Protoberberine Alkaloids

Several protoberberine alkaloids have been isolated from Corydalis meifolia, C. govaniana, Stephania glabra and Cocclaus pendulus. The structure and stereo-chemistry of new bases have been assigned. Biosynthesis, and positive and negative chemical ionization mass spectral studies of some protoberberine alkaloids have been carried out.
