Synthesis of Some New Sulphonamide Derivatives as Antibacterial Agents

A series of 2-phenyl-3-(4-N-substituted sulphonamido)phenl-6,8-substituted-4(3H)-quinazolinones has been synthesised by the condensation of 2-phenylbenzoxazinones and sulphonamides In pyridine. The compounds have been screened for their antibacterial activity.
