Abstract
Food irradiation is a novel, up and coming technology that preserves and extends the lifespan of food. The Philippines (more specifically, its capital city of Manila) is yet to capitalize on this effective technique, which has the potential to mitigate many of its pervasive issues such as hunger and food insecurity, unnecessary food wastage, and air pollution.
