The emergence of social media networks in healthcare domain is nowadays comprehensively contributed
for the knowledge acquisition and to support various activities in different tasks in healthcare processes. This study
emphasizes the usage of social media networks and its impacts on healthcare stakeholders; patient, health practitioners,
ICT and define their perspectives. The proposed framework for Social Media supported knowledge management
System (SMKMS) incorporates domain knowledge acquisition e.g. healthcare process (Cardiac) and integrates with
social media channels e.g. Facebook as inputs for the construction of domain ontology which can be considered as
foundation for the development of health information system (HIS)in healthcare business.
