Roxburghin―A New Stilbene from the Wood of Cassia roxburghii

In addition to β-sitosterol, chrysophanol and roxburghinol, a new stilbene roxburghin has been isolated from the wood of Cassia roxburghii and characterised as 2,3',4,5-tetrahydroxy-trans-stilbene on the basis of spectral and chemical evidence.
