Description
Zosterops meyeni Bonaparte, 1850: 398.
Now: Zosterops meyeni meyeni (Bonaparte, 1850). See Hartlaub (1865: 17), Gadow (1884: 180), Finsch (1901: 22).
Syntype: Same specimen as holotype of Sylvia flava Meyen, 1834a (see above). Other syntypes comprise type material of Dicaeum flavum Kittlitz, 1833 (see above under Sylvia flava Meyen).
Type locality. As for Sylvia flava Meyen, 1834 (see above), and type locality of Dicaeum flavum Kittlitz (1833: 15) which is Luzon, Philippines (Kittlitz 1833: 15).
Remarks. Zosterops meyeni was created by Bonaparte (1850: 398) as a new replacement name for Sylvia flava Meyen, 1834a. See under the latter name for further discussion.
