Evergestis serratalis Staudinger, 1870

Material examined. HMIM: Iran, Ghazvin Prov.: 1 ♂, Rudbār, Alamut, Gāzorkhān, 26.ix.1982, Hāshemi leg.; Lorestān Prov.: 1 ♂, Aligudarz, Ghālikuh, 2150 m, 5.x.1971, Hāshemi leg.; Māzandarān Prov.: 1 ♂, Baladeh, Yush, 1920 m, 13.ix.1996, Badii, Ardeh, Hāshemi leg.; Tehrān Prov.: 1 ♀, Fasham, 5.ix.1987, 1450 m, Hāshemi leg.

Distribution. Balkan, Krimea (Martin 1997).

Remarks. The single examined female specimen is considerably smaller (length of thr forewing 13.0 mm) than the males (length of the forewing x ̅ = 17.03 mm ± 0.06 (n=3)). This species is a new record for the fauna of Iran.
