Newer Quinolines as Cardiovascular Agents

1- (7- Triiluoromethyl- 4 -hydroxyquinoline-benzamido) - 5- aryl-∆²-triazolines (4a — h),' 147-trilluoromethy1-4- hydroxyquinoline-3-benzamido)-2-oxo-4-arylazetidin­2-ones (5a — h), 1'-(7-trifluoromethy1-4-hydroxyquinoline-3-benzamido)-3'- methyl-2'- oxothiazolidinones (6a— h) were synthesised by cycloaddition of diazomethane, mono­chloroacetyl chloride and thiolactic acid respectively, on the azomethine group of 7-trifluoromethy1-3-benzoylhydrazones (32— h). The latter (3a— h) on diazotisation yielded 1' - ( 7- trifluoromethyl - 4 - hydroxquinoline- 3- benzamido ) -2' - arylformazans (7a—h).
