Wpływ internetu na nasz umysł
Description
The article addresses issues related to the phenomenon of impoverishment of memory processes under the influence of the Internet. The author claims that long-term use of the Internet causes permanent changes in the neuronal structure of the brain. The text notes that, as a result of this impact, the minds of intense Internet users can be described as hypertext minds, as they modify thought processes – from linear to multi-threaded. Referring to numerous studies conducted in this area, the author diagnoses the specificity of online behaviours, for which cursory reading, mental shifts, difficulty concentrating, as well as very superficial assimilation of information are characteristic.
