Kinetics of a nation of cis-diaqua-bis(biguanide)cobalt(III) ion by glutamic acid (LH) have been determined in mixed ethanol-water media. The low values of ΔH^҂ together with quite large negative values of ΔS^҂ are indicative of an associative interchange mechanism (I_a). The effect of solvent variation on rate also supports l_a mechanism.
