Chemical studies of stem bark of Polyalthia suberosa (Annonaceae), led to the isolation of two compounds which were characterized as 4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-butane-2-ol (1) and 4-( 4-methoxyphenyl)-butane-2-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2) on the basis of spectroscopic studies.
