Solvent-free microwave-expediated synthesis of ferrocenylenones and ferrocenyl-1 ,5-diketones using hydrotalcite

An efficient, facile microwave-assisted synthesis of ferrocenylenones and ferrocenyl-1,5-diketones is described using hydrotalcite as base under solvent-free condition. This protocol is extremely fast and is applicable to a wide variety of substrates.
