Complexes of the types Al(L){(OCH2CH2)NMe(CHzCHzOH)} (where L = OC6H4CH=NCHzCHzO (L 1) 1; L= OC10H6CH=NCH2CH2O (L2) 2) and AI{(OCH2CH2)2NMe}(LH) (where L = L1 3, L = L1 4) have been prepared by the reactions of AI(L)(OI'r') with MeN(CHzCHzOH)z and AI((OCHzCHz)zNMe}(OPrI) with LHz in 1 :1 molar ratio, respectively. These complexes 1, 2 and 3 react in I : 1 molar ratio with Bu3Sn(OPrI) to yield heterometallic complexes 5, 6 and 7, respectively. Derivatives 1, 2 and 4 al~o react with Me3SiCI in the presence of Et3N to produce, respectively heteronuclear complexes 8, 9 and 10. All of these derivatives have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight measurements and spectroscopic (IR. NMR, 1H, 27AI, 29Si and 119Sn) studies.
