PRESO @O ESCURO: A METÁFORA DA PRISÃO DIGITAL

Preso @o escuro (tied in the dark) is an artistic installation that, making use of virtual reality technology, represents the digital imprisonment and the artificial manipulation of the human being in an immersive context. The piece was also inspired in the form of playing the musical instrument Theremin. In interacting with the work, the interactor is immerse in a sense of imprisonment that, poetically, represents the digital prison that many people nowadays lives in. In this way, we propose to reflect on the lethargic effect caused by the misuse of technology

Preso @o escuro é uma instalação artística que propõem a metáfora da prisão digital e da manipulação artificial do ser humano em um contexto imersivo. Nesta instalação são utilizadas tecnologias de realidade virtual e pulseiras Myo Armband. A obra também foi inspirada no modo de se tocar o instrumento musical Theremin. Ao interagir com a obra, o interator entra em um clima de aprisionamento que, poeticamente, representa a prisão digital de muitas pessoas nos dias atuais. Desse modo, propomos refletir sobre o efeito letárgico provocado pelo mau uso da tecnologia.
