Description
This Campaign Guide is perfect for you if you intend to organise or if you are involved in a campaign that aims to make people switch short car trips to more active modes of travel. It explains the general principles behind such a campaign, gives step-by-step advice on how to prepare, execute and evaluate it and provides all kinds of ready-made material and templates to make your life easier by not having to reinvent the wheel.
Towards the end of the document you also find a systematic overview of all available support documents (referred to as the SWITCH Toolbox). The Campaign Guide and the Toolbox are key outputs of the EU funded project with the programmatic title SWITCH. It supports cities, who aim to help people to “switch” from their car to active modes of travel on short urban distances through effective and professional campaigns.
There are some basic principles behind every successful SWITCH campaign, which we put together in this Campaign Guide document and thus hope that this Campaign Guide will be of help to you regardless of whether you are an experienced campaigner or whether you are trying this for the first time, whether your city is large or small, etc.
