Description

This database includes the raw data linked with the paper “Rating behavioral problems in adolescent eating disorders: Parent-child differences” published on “Psychiatry Research”.

In this paper, we reported the discrepancies data regarding patients affected by Restrictive Eating Disorders (REDs), specifically we aimed to assess the perception of behavioral problems reported by adolescent patients and their mothers and fathers.

REDs patients filled in the self-report questionnaire Youth Self-Report (YSR 11-18) and each parent compiled the Child Behavior Check List (CBCL 6-18). Data were collected at baseline. Dataset does not contain longitudinal data.

In this sample, patients self-reported scores were lower in somatic complaints, thought problems and rule-breaking compared to their parents’ ratings.

These discrepancies were influenced by patients’ clinical and psychosocial features.
