Paralethus Rowell & Perez-Gelabert 2006

Description

Paralethus Rowell & Perez-Gelabert, 2006

This genus is distinguished from Lethus Rehn & Rehn, 1934; by its genital structure, shape of subgenital plate in males and females (see Rowell & Perez-Gelabert, 2006). It is distributed between El Salvador and Guatemala, with potential presence in other close countries like Belize, Honduras and southern Mexico. Here we propose a key to distinguish the known species of Paralethus.

Type species. Paralethus insolitus Rowell & Perez-Gelabert, 2006 by monotypy and original designation.
