Open Science. Why and how?

Open Science Workshop, October 20, 2021

Open Science means making research processes and research results - including methods, processes, research data and publications - as accessible as possible. This is intended to intensify transparency, reusability and exchange with industry and society.

In the workshop "Open Science - why and how?" on Oct. 20, the following questions will be discussed, among others:

•    What is meant by Open Science/Scholarship/Research?
•     For which problems in "traditional" science can Open Science offer a solution?
•     What is the benefit (for me) of Open Science?
•     Which Open Science practices can be used in everyday research?
•     Which infrastructures and tools for Open Science exist?

The speaker Dr. Katja Mayer is Senior Post-Doc and Elise Richter Fellow at the Institute for Science and Technology Research at the University of Vienna and Senior Scientist at the Center for Social Innovation in Vienna.
