Worldwide elevation layer in 30 seconds spatial resolution

  • 1. Departamento de Biología, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Madrid 28049, Spain

Description

This repository contains the "Elevation_WorldClim_30sec" file, spatial layer elaborated from WorldClim 2.1 elevation variables (Fick and Hijmans, 2017). We used "Combine" tool in QGIS (QGIS Development Team, 2021) to merge all the 60 files availables in WorldClim 2.1 and cover a worldwide range. Then, we exported the resulting layer in raster format (.tif). The projection assigned to the raster layer is global datum WGS 84 (EPSG: 4326), with a spatial resolution of 30 seconds (~1 km2).
