Private Places on Public View: David Wiesner's Picture Books

Despite their visual similarities, a number of David Wiesner's picture books represent different genres. This essay explores how the picture books challenge theories of Sf and fantasy, and how the books and the theories both celebrate and undermine the liberating potential of fantasy.
