Habits and dietary preferences of children and adolescents from "Folk Song and Dance Ensemble Częstochowa"

The article analyzes the eating habits and preferences of children and adolescents from
the “Folk Song and Dance Ensemble Częstochowa”, where the respondents develop their
dancing skills and learn about the cultural habits of other nations. Based on the conducted
research, it was found that only 57.1% of the respondents eat 4-5 meals a day, and the most
omitted meal is afternoon tea (14.3% of the respondents eat afternoon tea every day). Most
people eat sweets several times a day, once a day and 2-3 times a week (85.7%). The most
popular and consumed drink among children and adolescents is mineral/spring water, but
the amount of fluid consumed during the day is too little. Children and adolescents too
rarely eat fish, which should be eaten twice a week, and vegetables that would be best in
each meal and fruit, the daily consumption of which should be 2 portions. Team members
also consume too little milk and dairy products during the day.
