Research questions and methodologies: why science is always political

Description

Can ‘health’ be imposed to someone without their consent? Is today’s medical research empowering people? Does the scientific culture help us ask (sound) questions? What about taking time to improve how we cooperate?

Here, I propose to critically reflect on some of the beliefs embedded in each and every scientific question, and methodology, with some illustrations from medical research as it affects us all. My goal is to raise awareness about ways to improve the trustworthiness, plurality and openness of science.
