(a) length of inner (CiL) and outer (CoL) collar, and of the boss (BL) (if present), of all chaetae measured, BL data are represented overlapping CiL bars to show their contribution to the length of CiL; (b) width of outer collar (Cow) and boss (Bw) of all chaetae measured, species labels in green highlight unequal boss shafts (UBS). Values in (a) are ordered from lowest to highest CiL, values in (b) are ordered from lowest to highest Bw; tips of bars are highlighted to aid in distinguishing between them. Abbreviations: BL = boss length; BW = boss width; CiL = inner collar length; CoL = outer collar length; CoW = outer collar width.
