Description

A paper produced in the frame of the H2020 project 677353 'Innovative Management of Animal GEnetic resources'.

Four lines of primordial germ cells were established from chicken embryos of different genetic origins, and their proliferation rates were found to be different, although they did no differ in the marker expression profile. Difference in proliferation rate could mainly be attributed to genetic variation, but environmental factors such as cell concentration and culture medium could also play a role.
