Нормативно-правова охорона культурної спадщини

The historical excursus of theme, the conceiving of ideas of protection monuments, which have gained national importance in modern times has been proposed. Focusing on the legal status of culture in the interwar period in Ukraine which was under foreign domination, selective (from the the class positions of the communist-Soviet regime to cultural values) development of regulatory documents and terminology definitions, the law of the protection and use of history and culture, isolation from the international theoretical and practical experience in this field. The formation of the monuments protection bases in independent Ukraine, heredity of the past and the development of new provisions of the law "The protection of cultural heritage" was analized in details. The formation of management structures, course and consequences of prospecting and research work, the state registration of cultural heritage objects and its positive and negative consequences was researched. Author proposed measures to improve the state of affairs in this area.
