Amplitude ratios and phases in the Sun and solar-type stars

Amplitude ratios and phases between intensity and velocity measurements of low-degree acoustic modes are compared with model computations for the Sun and solar-type stars. We use model atmospheres from averaged 3D simulations results and a time-dependent convection model in the non-adiabatic radial pulsation calculations. Such comparisons will help to constrain the shape of modelled pulsation eigenfunctions and eventually models for stochastic excitation of solar-like oscillations.
