April - Study On The IT Industry of Hyderabad

Hyderabad's trajectory of growth to its present-day status of being one of the world's leading IT-Hub has
been in the making for at least the last three decades. This study breaksdown this growth into three
distinct parts. Firstly, the study explores thr data and bring out any overt and covert models that were
followed. Insights from ethnographic interviews of ex-bureaucrats and I.T. businesses were used to
explicate these models. Second, using primary and secondary data, a part of the study also looks into
the start-up ecosystem that presently exists in and around Hyderabad. Third, from secondary data, the
also tries to understand the international trade in I.T. and I.T. services. The study also looks at
understanding the future readiness of the city by getting insights from I.T. Industry's business leaders.
