FIGURE 1. Maximum-likelihood phylogeny of selected anthiadine serranids inferred using mitochondrial COI. Plectranthias flammeus was used as the outgroup. Support values at nodes denote likelihood bootstrap percentages. Nodes with bootstrap support values below 50 are not labelled. Coloured branches represent genera nested within Pseudanthias: Tosana (blue-green); Nemanthias (blue); Luzonichthys (purple); Tosanoides (orange); Odontanthias (pink); Serranocirrhitus (red).
