This index is calculated using SPI3, the anomalies of the fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation (fAPAR) and soil suction (pF).

Four warning categories are available:

0 = None

< 1 = Watch (Precipitation shortage)

< 2 = Warning (Soil moisture deficit)

> 2 = Alert (Vegetation stress)
