What is information anyway?
Authors/Creators
Description
Many definitions for archival materials depend on an understanding of the concept of information but do not explain it. This working paper attempts to provide a definition. It concludes that an information object is an entity that contains the content of a message and has the required structure and context to allow that message to be decoded and understood.
