Ocean bottom pressure data of the 2016 Off-Fukushima earthquake obtained by Tohoku University

Description

This dataset contains the ocean bottom pressure data during the Off-Fukushima earthquake on November 21, 2016 obtained by Tohoku University.

The CSV format file contains the location of the observation stations and the pressure data.

The data archived here is a set of the OBP waveform data used in the paper "Improving the constraint on the Mw 7.1 2016 off-Fukushima shallow normal-faulting earthquake with the high azimuthal coverage tsunami data from the S-net wide and dense network: Implication for the stress regime in the Tohoku overriding plate" by Kubota T., et al. (https://doi.org/10.1002/essoar.10506788.1).

Notes

The seafloor pressure observation was made under the support of JSPS Kakenhi JP26000002. Ocean Bottom Pressure Recorders (OBPRs) were deployed/recovered during the following research cruises: KS16-14 and KS17-13 (R/V Shinsei-maru, JAMSTEC), RF16-04 and RF17-04 (R/V Ryofu-maru, JMA), KS17-07 (R/V Keifu-maru, JMA). Seafloor pressure is measured by Paroscientific depth sensor 8B7000 and continuously recorded every 1 sec. Clock drift of all the OBPR data are corrected for. Time stamps are given in UT.
