Description
The Iimbovane project implemented a long term biodiversity monitoring programme in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. Starting in 2006 the project proposes to continue for 10 years. The project monitors ant assemblages from 33 sites to examine their diversity patterns over large spatial and temporal scales. During 2006 the project also collected soil samples to determine the soil characteristics at the research sites for a better understanding of the soil structure preferences of the ant species present.
Notes
This data set provides the user with soil properties of research sites sampled by the project. The data includes variables used for soil classification and soil chemistry.
