RAR-estimated rainfall data
Description
The composite precipitation data produced by the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) Radar-Automatic weather station Rain-rate (RAR) system using 11 radars.
The observational domain covers 1241 km ×1761 km in the Korean Peninsula, centered at 38 °N and 126 °E in the Lambert conformal conic projection with horizontal resolution of 1 km and temporal resolution of 10 min.
RAR-estimated rainfall data were aggregated to a 5 km resolution grid. A downscaled grid box represents the average of 25 original grid boxes. For reasonable representativeness of samples, we take the average if more than 80 % of original grid boxes have meaningful values.
