Challenges in the Harmonisation of Survey Data on Ethnic and Migrant Minorities in Europe: the EthmigSurveyData Approach
Description
The InGRID2 expert workshop on ‘The Identification and Monitoring of Vulnerable Groups in the Labour Market’ took place online on the 28th and 29th of January 2021. Discussions brought together 49 experts from across Europe and focused on two topics: data harmonization and multi-dimensional indicator building. The workshop was hosted by the University of Amsterdam.
This presentation, which explains how the ethnic and migration studies data community is addressing challenges in the harmonisation of survey data on ethnic and migrant minorities' integration, notably through the EMM (Ethnic and Migrant Minority) Survey Registry, was given by Laura Morales during Session 1. Data recycling of the InGRID2 expert workshop on ‘The Identification and Monitoring of Vulnerable Groups in the Labour Market.'
The EMM Survey Registry is jointly being produced by SSHOC’s Task 9.2 (Ethnic Migration Studies) team of Work Package 9 (Data Communities), in close collaboration with COST Action 16111 – ETHMIGSURVEYDATA (an international network of more than 200 researchers active in the ethnic and migration studies field) and FAIRETHMIGQUANT (a French Agence Nationale de la Recherche funded Open Science project).
