Juno Waves high frequency antenna properties - data set

  • 1. Austrian Academy of Sciences, Space Research Institute

Description

Introduction

This data set contains descriptive antenna properties for Juno’s Waves dipole. It supports correct post processing of recorded scientific in-flight data.

Data Set 1 - Waves dipole impedance mismatch loss

Waves dipole impedance mismatch loss is supplied as text file (csv) for easy automated processing. Data is presented in 100 kHz steps over the instruments frequency range, for both pre-amplifier states “ON” and “OFF”. Results of both calculation methods, as found in sections 6.1 and 6.2 of the main text, are included.

Data Set 2 - Waves directivity tables

Waves directivity patterns are supplied as text files (csv), containing 3D-spatial tables in 100 kHz steps over the instruments frequency range. The data is in spherical coordinates (co-latitude and azimuth) in the spacecraft-fixed reference frame.

Plots to Data Set 2 - directivity plots of Waves dipole

Plots to Data Set 2 contain PDF files showing for every 100 kHz step a visual 2D-surface impression of the 3D directivity pattern.
