Description
This article aims to analyze the different approaches to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sport, and how they have been treated in the literature. In this case, we made a systematic review about scientific research consulted with the following electronic databases ABI/INFORM, EBSCO and SienceDirect, and how the search strategy, descriptors (keywords) were used: “Responsabilidade Social Corporativa” and “Desporto”; “Corporate Social Responsibility” and “Sport”; “Responsabilidad Social Corporativa” and “Deporte”. All the words were searched using the operator "AND". Studies were selected for the sample, 23 in total, and after that, an analysis was made on the relevant issues. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been presented as business strategy and as a field of study widely debated in the literature, but the relation of involvement with sport is relatively recent. Understood as a set of actions that contribute to the community good practice, CSR is worked on by several professional teams that consider their intervention in society together with sport performances. As the sport is a major driver of social development, and it’s also appreciated by different populations, it makes sense to characterize the components that make up the relationship between, CSR an sport, as well as identify which populations are favored, in which countries the production of knowledge is more expressed, and its historical evolution. Although this theme is presented recently in the sport and business circles, the production of scientific knowledge about the same is still scarce.
