Croce J, EI Badano, CB Trigo, F Martínez-Galvez and A Tálamo. Experimental approaches to select tree species for forest restoration: effects of light, water availability and interspecific competition in man-degraded areas. Journal of Forestry Research, 33, pp. 1197–1207. https://doi.org/10.1007/s11676-021-01401-0

The Microsoft Excel file contains the data (dates of hypocotyl emergence and seedling dead) used to calculate the emergence rates and survival rates of Anadenanthera colubrina, Ceiba chodatii and Jacaranda mimosifolia. Data of each species are provided in different spreadsheets. At each experimental plot (40 plots per species) we sowed 25 seeds of the respective species and the database indicates the light level (full sunlight = FL and shade = SH), the rainfall level (full rainfall = FR and reduced rainfall = RR) and the level of interspecific competition (without competitor = NC and with competitor = WC) applied on each plot.
