Text File) Supplementary Methods, Results and discussion for main text. Includes more detailed methodology, as well as additional figures and discussion on results.

S-1) Contains EPMA maps for Sr/Ca and Mg/Ca values of Eocene Morozovella aragonensis and a matlab script which generates figures.

S-2) Contains numerical models, which simulate the diagenetic exchange of Ca, Mg, Sr, d18O and d13C between foraminifera and surrounding fluids. Also contains scripts which generate figures.
