Description
The Belo Monte HPP has 36 dams / dikes built under the most diverse types of foundations - sandstone (graben region), thick alluvial terraces, residual soils with canaliculi and fractured rocks among others.
This article will introduce a summary of the characteristics of the main foundation types of the dams at the Belo Monte HPP, as well as a summary of the treatments used and the results obtained after two years of reservoir filling.
