Agnes Gosche

Agnes Gosche (1857-1928) gehörte zu den ersten promovierten Frauen in Halle (Saale), zur Akteurin der bürgerlichen Frauenbewegung und Gründerin bzw. Mitorganisatorin etlicher frauenspezifischer Vereine. Sie war als Lehrerin privater Höherer Töchterschulen tätig bevor sie 1911 die Leitung der Frauenschule übernahm. Als Direktorin dieser Schule wirkte sie auf die Berufsausbildung von Frauen, insbesondere als Erzieherin, hin. 1919 kandidierte sie für die Nationalversammlung.

Agnes Gosche (1857-1928) was one of the first women in Halle (Saale) to earn a doctorate, a player in the civic women's movement and founder or co-organiser of several women's associations. She worked as a teacher at private secondary schools before taking over the direction of the women's school in 1911. As director of this school, she worked towards the professional training of women, especially as educators. In 1919, she stood as a candidate for the National Assembly.
